Bio

Anne is a fiction writer and author of the debut novel, Solitary Refinement. Although she addresses serious subject matter, her narratives are interwoven with humorous situations and unconventional outcomes. She draws from life experience to create complex characters and strong female protagonists faced with adversity.

Freelancing for over twenty-five years, Anne has written humor columns, informational pieces for newspapers and magazines, greeting card verses, and everything in-between.

She is an avid reader, real estate junkie, unassuming metal head, advocate for the underdog and Netflix binger. Her favorite activity is anything outdoors, preferably slightly dangerous and off the grid.

Active in K9 rescue, Anne has been involved in fostering, transporting, photographing, marketing, fundraising and coordinating adoption events. Many times, her rescues have been featured subjects during her writing career, giving displaced animals a voice while highlighting the importance of adoption. There is always a dog prominently featured in her novels, and no less than three positioned by her feet.

When not writing, Anne can be found perusing real estate listings looking for the next best place, or hiking through dense forest in remote locations with a holster full of bear spray. She likes fast cars, dry martinis, and has no tolerance for arrogant people.
